GARDEN SCULPTURES

Garden sculptures by Juhani Lillberg in 2022.

Art is good for us. Art belongs to everyone. Art can be everywhere. A courtyard, a garden, or a forest can become an art gallery. Instead of flowers, a sculpture may suffice in the courtyard of a city apartment building. Vast courtyards of countryside homes instead, have space for flowers, useful plants, hobbies and numerous sculptures and environmental art.

This publication is about sculptures in two courtyards in Petäjävesi, Finland. This publication also continues a previously published catalogue of a weekly sculpture exhibition in Jyväskylä during the summer of 2020.

WEEKLY SCULPTURE EXHIBITION

Exhibition of Juhani Lillberg in Jyväskylä in 2020

The “weekly sculpture” was an exhibition by one artist and one sculpture in Jyväskylä that took place during the spring of 2020. The exhibition was about a single sculpture, but it was a new one every week. Another specialty was that the exhibition was held in the courtyard of an apartment building rather than in a museum or a gallery.
